Who Can Apply?
Students are eligible to apply to REACH Memphis if they are
-
enrolled in the 10th grade in a public high school in Shelby County, Tennessee.

taking the highest-level courses offered in your school (Honors/AP/IB) with no semester grades lower than a C.

maintaining a weighted GPA of 3.5 or higher with
good conduct. -
participating in school and/or community volunteer activities.

willing to commit to regular participation
in REACH Memphis in preparation for the summer experience and for college admittance. -
responsible and willing to experience independence in different environments.

How Do I Apply?

Applications are submitted online. They are screened to make sure they are complete and that applicants meet the eligibility criteria.

Applicants’ essays and recommendations are reviewed to ensure that students are committed to the program’s goals of supporting them in gaining admission to and achieving success in college.

Qualified students are invited to be interviewed as part of the selection process.

Parents and guardians participate in the interview process as an opportunity to receive more in-depth information about the program and for us to learn more about the students.

Students are notified of their acceptance soon after interviews.

Accepted students and families are invited to REACH Memphis’ New Student Induction and Orientation.
When Should I Apply?
REACH Memphis applications are submitted online. The application page will go live on September 5th at 7 pm, following our interest meetings, and close on September 30th at midnight.
